Choice and Destiny
Do you believe in the fate of your life? If you say yes, then it is a good thing. If you say no, I won't force you to say yes. I believe that you might have a concrete reason for saying that. But, I won't be agree with you because in my opinion, everything happen must have a reason and every inch of our action will lead us to some consequence. Yes. Consequence which is sometimes that can be related to destiny. What is destiny? Is it related to fate? Well it is actually give you the same meaning. Back into what we are discussing about is the relation between choice and destiny. Like I said before, every inch of your step and action will give you some consequences. We might not realise that we are actually making choice unconsciously when we want to do something. Just like you wanna read some books and you wish to work hard in your study. Yes! That's your choice. You have the right to choose on doing what you want. As a consequence, you will get what you want. But only the time matters. From here, this is where the definition of destiny takes place. ;)
Destiny is something happen in our life out of our expectation. This means, whether it is coincidence or fate, this is already stated in the book of our life. Everything we did, will give us some consequence in our life. Even if we are trying different route, there will only be one end in our life. This one end is called destiny. We might have a lot of choices in choosing which route we will access. But only one ending we will face. We should understand the mechanism of our life. Life must go on. Even it is difficult, we must endure it. That's why there is a phrase said "Whatever happen, life must go on".
After we've learned about these two things, we should probably understand how does these two depends on each other. Let's say we are talking about career. For example, your first dream's career during your school life is to become a doctor. You work hard every day just because you want to achieve it. Then, because of your effort, you've got excellent result. As a consequence, you were qualified to be a doctor. But this is not like plucking an apple from a tree. This is because you have to apply through an education system of your country. If you are lucky enough, you will get it, but if you didn't get it but got something different, then this is your destiny. But you can still work hard on it. Maybe you have to take the longest route to reach it or take a shortcut ways to achieve it. It's depends on you. You are the one who walks towards destiny. So, you had no choice but to accept the reality even there is sometimes your heart is not fully accepted it.
To roll up everything, this is what happen in our life. But we knew, there must be a reason why all of this things happen. And we have to believe, whatever it is, they must work in the will of Allah's plan. That's why we should never give up over something before we reach the finishing line. Keep going on with your effort and your trust in Allah. ;)
